Stock Your Pantry Week

Just a heads-up to my southern readers. Publix is having their annual Italian Days event until March 3rd. It's a good time to stock up your own kitchen or your local food pantry. Canned beans, sauces, soups, cheeses, pasta, olive oil, etc. are all on sale.

I stopped in quickly on my way home from work today to get more soup. My standard weekday lunch is Progresso Light soup with a piece of fruit......don't hate, it could be much worse. I plan on making a bigger trip later this week to stock up more sale items.

Order total- $3.36 including tax

Check out the full coupon match-ups for this week and next week.

And just so y'all know it's not all canned soup around here, here are links to some of the latest and greatest organic coupons I'll also be using this week:

What are some cooking staples you always keep on hand?

  1. $3.36??? Insane!

We are trying to eat down our pantry, so it is looking a little bare. But on normal days you will always find black beans, chick peas, tomato sauce, tomato paste, among other things.

  2. I'm in the process of cleaning out our pantry. When we first moved here a couple of years ago, it pretty much got filled with tools, scouting projects, Christmas decos, candles, and art projects. There were some soup, beans, Ramen, cereal, diced tomatoes, and Milk Bone dog biscuits amongst the mess, though. I hope to begin stocking up on food and water storage.

I'm impressed by the savings. That's a talent.

  3. I need to get better at this. Great job!

  4. My jaw dropped when I saw $3.36 for all of that stuff!!!! You are awesome at saving money while grocery shopping.
BTW - not hating on the progresso soups -- I have one almost every day with a piece of fruit. It's a perfectly acceptable lunch :)
