I like to Move It, Move It

35 minutes here

Then 25 minutes here

Yes ladies and gents, I'm getting back in the game.

You may have wondered why it's been so quiet here on the running front. Thanks to a family friend who was able to pull some strings, and our fortunate flight bennies, I was able to seek treatment at a well-respected heart center "up north". The cardiologist I saw there was phenomenally fantastic (one superlative would not suffice). I had acute pericarditis (the asthma diagnosis was just a nifty bonus). Uncommon in an otherwise healthy 29 year old, it took a highly trained eye to figure it out.

We'll never know exactly what triggered it, but the follow-up tests I had this week showed that it's no longer active. Best news of all, I got the all-clear to resume normal activity. I'm so glad to be rejoining ya'll. I hope you'll have me back.

Happy 4th everyone!

  3. Yay! So glad you can get back to doing what you love! It's hard to not be able to- I'm experiencing that right now with my knee issues. :(
