Slacking (?)

Looking back on my numbers from last week, my workouts didn’t look much different than when I’m preparing for a race. What’s up with that? I was treating it like a rest week.

I realize it's all a head game. Not having an agenda for the day when I step outside makes me feel like I’m slacking somehow. And without a pace/distance expectation for myself (and a constant checking of the Garmin), my runs seemed like they were easier too. Does this happen to you?

On a side note: We still need to replace our refrigerator. M replaced the main control board (again!) and it seems to be working ok, but I want it gone. Any brands you'd recommend? We have a GE now.

  1. Sometimes you just need to RUN though.... no Garmin, no plan, just a run to enjoy. Its not slacking its running. :-)

We have a kitchenaid fridge I love, got a killer deal on it though. Definitely look around for close outs and don't forget the local small appliance shops sometimes you can find great deals there from their buying groups.

  2. We have a Samsung fridge and we love it (had it 3 1/2 years now).

In our last two houses we had GE fridges with many problems, especially the ice makers so we vowed to avoid GE in the future. We got our Samsung at Best Buy and it has four compartments (two doors and two drawers) and the drawers can be set to be freezer or fridge, so it's pretty cool (hubby had one drawer as his designated "beer drawer" for a while, before I had to take it away for more freezer space). We like it and haven't had any issues.

  3. Thanks for the recs! This fridge has been a lemon since we got it. Friends of ours spent way more on their GE fridge and have had a lot of problems too.

M would love a beer drawer. That's neat that you can convert them.
